Road, rail, air, sea: however you choose to travel to AECC – wherever you’re starting from – the options are as varied as they are convenient.
And as your ultimate destination, we aim to make your journey worthwhile.
Getting here… from Europe and the rest of the world.
Aberdeen International Airport – just a short drive away – has a growing network of flights to and from many cities across the UK and northern Europe.
There are frequent services to the key global hubs of London, Amsterdam and Paris. So getting here from justabout anywhere in the world isn’t a problem.
Getting here… from elsewhere in the UK
Aberdeen International Airport has a busy schedule of flights to over 20 destinations across the UK.
There are regular rail services between Aberdeen and Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and London – and many points in between.
Similarly, there are national bus services linking Aberdeen to major cities throughout the UK.
Ferry services operate between the city and the Orkney and Shetland Islands.
Getting here… from within Aberdeen
AECC sits right next to the A90 trunk road so getting here by car from the city centre or further afield is a simple option.
We’re only a ten-minute taxi ride from Aberdeen railway and bus stations in the city centre.
Click the map in the sidebar to view where we are.
We’re located on the Red and Pink line local bus routes (service numbers 1, 2 and 13) and the nearest bus stop is only a short walk way.
A dedicated on-site Park and Ride facility offers fast and regular bus services to and from the city centre – every 15 minutes at peak times.
The options don’t end there. In partnership with First, we offer a special Gig‘n’Go service at selected concerts if you fancy a drink on the big night out.
Gig’n'Go costs £3 for a single journey and £5 for a return (a special family ticket can be purchased to allow 2 adults and 2 children a return journey for only £10). The services will depart from the bus stop at Peacocks on Union Street at 18.30 and 19.15 hours and travel to AECC picking up at all Park & Ride stops on Union Street and Castle Street. Return buses pick-up outside AECC’s West Entrance after the gig and you’re in the city centre in no time.
