Oil & Gas UK Breakfast Briefing: Access to Oil and Gas Infrastructure

Access to existing infrastructure for the processing and transportation of oil and gas for new offshore fields on fair and reasonable terms is crucial to maximising the economic recovery of hydrocarbons from the UK continental shelf.

Oil & Gas UK’s aim, together with DECC in the PILOT Infrastructure Access work group, is to ensure the framework for infrastructure is fit for the purpose of recovering hydrocarbons safely and cost–effectively to enhance the long term future of the industry.

Presentations by Jonathan Roger, managing director, Centrica Energy Upstream, and other members of the PILOT work groups, will focus on three key areas. These comprise an insight into improvements in the industry code of practice (ICoP) for third party access, an update on work under way to identify key and critical infrastructure
systems on the UK continental shelf and an exploration of new commercial models
developed to address the issue of managing infrastructure in a mature province..

Oil & Gas UK’s Breakfast Briefings present an excellent opportunity to network with industry colleagues and to be informed of the latest developments in the UK oil and gas sector.
